The 31st Annual Telly Award competition received 11,000 entries from all 50 states and numerous countries. A Silver Telly Award in the Non-Profit category was received for Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) Fundraising Videos entitled Coaches, Camps and Community, produced in conjunction with EJC Productions. The videos raised awareness of the organization’s needs during its annual fundraising banquet, sharing the stories of coaches and kids to show how FCA impacts lives in lasting ways for Jesus Christ.

A Bronze Telly in the Children’s Broadcast category was received for Babies Love Water!, the second title in the Halo Baby series created just for babies and toddlers. The series incorporates simple Biblical elements into every video. Babies Love Water! features original music by composer Paul Todd. Another Bronze Telly was received for a Food for Orphans commercial in the Fundraising / Appeals category. With 143 million orphans worldwide and 400,000 dying of malnutrition each year, this spot was created to evoke support for the non-profit organization.

For Daley, Naples has that small-town je ne sais quoi. The Southwest Florida native tried to move away for a stint with the Marriott Vacation Club in Orlando in 1998, but found herself right back in Naples just four years later. “I was dying to get back home,” she says.

Now she writes, produces and directs commercials and TV programs for clients through Sky Angel Productions, which has three national channels available to more than 15 million households. She’s currently working on a documentary series about autism, which she hopes will provide a snapshot of what it’s like to live with the disorder. Daley also puts her production skills to use helping nonprofit organizations including the Immokalee Foundation, Big Life Ministries, Project Help and the Florida Baptist Children’s Home.

OFF THE CLOCK: She’s part of a family of musicians. Daley plays violin, viola and cello, and her husband and father-in-law are also musically inclined.

Production arm receives 2009 Bronze Telly Awards for Halo Baby: Babies Love Water and Turn It Around

Sky Angel Productions, a full service video production company based in Naples, Fla., has been honored with two national awards in the 2009 Telly Award competition.

A Bronze Telly Award was received for Babies Love Water!, the second title in the Halo Baby DVD series created just for babies and toddlers. The DVD’s incorporate simple Biblical elements into every video. Babies Love Water! teaches animal and color identification. Assistance for Babies Love Water! was provided on location by The Florida Aquarium - Tampa Bay, along with child development guidance from Leslie S. Holland MSRC, LMHC and child educator Leslie A. Nelson, and original music by legendary composer Paul Todd.

Sky Angel Productions received a second Bronze Telly Award for a special weekly program, Turn It Around. This was the first weekly series produced by the firm. Turn It Around, a 13 week original series, addressed difficult issues facing many Christians, including domestic abuse; childhood sexual abuse and healing emotional wounds. Hosted by Dr. Tim Clinton, an internationally known expert and Christian counselor, Turn It Around was filmed by Sky Angel Productions in 2007-2008 and aired nationally on Sky Angel’s Angel One and Angel Two channels as well as on the Daystar Network in 2008.

“It is an honor to receive national recognition for these diverse projects – one geared toward babies and toddlers and the other aimed at a more mature audience. I am proud of the entire Sky Angel Productions team and thankful for the opportunity to work on these projects. The Passion Play is an Easter tradition around the world, being staged in thousands of venues across the globe. But thanks to TBN, The Holy Land Experience and Sky Angel, our viewers won’t have to leave their homes to view one of the best-filmed versions of this sacred story. “The Passion: Holy Land Experience" special will air on Sky Angel’s Angel Two channel as part of an Easter Marathon of great programming honoring the death and resurrection of Jesus. The special, filmed and produced by Sky Angel Productions, was filmed during a live performance of the Passion performance ‘Behold The Lamb’ at Trinity Broadcasting Network’s The Holy Land Experience in Orlando, Florida.

This unique television special is available exclusively to audiences on Angel Two (channel 102 on Sky Angel and channel 9702 on DISH Network). The Passion: From The Holy Land Experience is scheduled to air Sunday, April 12th from 6pm - 6:30pm EST. Angel Two is one of over 75 channels available to Sky Angel subscribers nationwide.

Sky Angel subscribers will also be able to watch the extended full-version of The Passion, plus interviews with “Jesus” (played by Les Cheveldayoff) and Nick Kroger, in the Video On Demand library under the special Easter category.

The Passion drama is the longest running of all the shows at The Holy Land Experience, telling the story through powerful original songs including "Via Dolorosa," "Behold the Lamb," and “He’s Alive” and the reenactment of the death, burial and resurrection of Christ.

This award is given to a company that “exemplifies innovative leadership through product or process” and was presented to Tom Scott this past Saturday night at a gala event held in downtown Naples, Fla. The EDC also sent out a Press Release identifying the winners in each category! Once I receive photo’s from the event we will send out our own Press Release as well.
